Everyone Dreams by Helen Lowrie Marshall

Everybody dreams -
The very young, the very old;
Everybody has a secret
Dream he's never told.
Everybody, at some time,
Has wished upon a star,
Blown out the candles on a cake,
Had hopes that drifted far.
Everybody dreams -
And dreams so often don't come true,
But I think life is better
For the dreams we have,
Don't you?

Neat poem Katie, and I love the picture from Luddington. It's been many, many years since I caught a ferry to WI from that fair city...thanks for the memory!
