Greenfield Village and Henry Ford Museum

Yesterday I went to Detroit to visit these. I hadn't been there in a few years. They made some major changes a couple years ago. One is replacement of most of the people demonstrating things with recordings. I'm posting some pictures of things I thought you might enjoy. The volunteer who was spinning was very nice and knowledgeable. I rode in a modal T and enjoyed all the old wheeled vehicles. They now have a charter high school there. They have a lottery system to be able to go there. Boy would I have ever liked that in my day.

I love the thread holder. Its wonderful to see someone using a walking wheel for spinning. I have a friend who has one, but most spinners use the small wheels now...
