Ostrich

The first picture is one I had that I decided to use as my ostrich center for Kim's challenge on Peach Quilting. Then I decided it needed brightened up so I couched the middle with green. That wasn't enough so I added the flower tape. This let me go on to the second round. It is about 24" square already.

what difference the couched flower tape makes! It really draws your eye to the centre, and coordiantes well with the 2nd round fabric. Looking forward to seeing how it continues to progress...

I like your center block better with the additions. It read pretty flat and one dimentional before..not quite enough contrast.

That's something I struggle with also. It looks good as I work on it, but from a distance..you see there needs to be more contrast. I like what you've done so far...it'll be fun to see what comes next. Hugs, Finn
