Silver SpringsYesterday I went on a bus trip to visit Silver Springs. I enjoyed the river cruise with the glass bottom boat. We also saw lots of birds, wild alligators,
turtles, deer and monkeys. At some point, someone brought in some monkeys to a nearby place. They ran away and live in the wild here. Very interesting. We also had a nice dinner and listened to some great vocalists with songs of the season. After dark the park was lit up with holiday lights and then they had a parade of lights on the water. Nice day.
I was hoping Kipper and the

elves would sandwich
Autumn Walk while I was gone but no luck. Kipper said the backing wasn't ironed. Oh, me.

Hi Katie, so glad you enjoyed the Silver Springs trip. I was there...way back in the very early 1960's. We had been stationed in Biloxi, MS, and DH's parents came down for a visit and to give us a ride back home to WI. Back to WI via Florida..LOL
The glass bottom boats were wonderful, and I enjoyed it a lot. I even have some pictures...somewhere..ah yes, the sweet innocence of youth.
The quilt is looking great, and and I love your backing fabric..plus it WAS a good buy! Hugs, Finn
what a different set of pictures to those outside my window! A very welcome set, as its definately winter here with wind, about 18" of snow and more shovelling to do :-(
Sounds like you had a wonderful day. Christmas in the south is so different than Christmas in the north.
