Look Look

I went through it all again using the blog to post a pic and it worked. Now to try to figure out how to post more than one. I had to click on the box above to get the second pic. Wonder why I couldn't do two at once. Oh, well, I'm really glad to get pics via any method. I've been working a lot on quilting using these stars. It is sort of a cross between tieing (or is it tying) and quilting. Sure hope I have enough thread. More soon.

Yay! Glad you have photos again! After you click 'browse' and choose your first photo, you can click 'add another image' that's written in blue. I can load 4 photos at a time that way. Good luck!

I used a method similar to this on my Star Light quilt. I'd call it utiility quilting myself. It looks great.

Katie, I'm you found a way to get the pictures to work. Your quilt is just gorgeous, and those stars are the perfect way to quilt it. I too hope you have enough skeins of the floss.

Hi Katie, here I am, red faced and all. Sorry to have been missing for so many posts, all I can plead is age, speed and the tumble. I have, however, read allllll the way down to Kipper in the chair...my last time visiting! I love what you have done with assembling the quilt, and IF you DON'T win I will fall over backwards. This quilt is HIGHLY creative, original and definitely ONE OF A KIND! You did a great job and I'm sure the quilting will just finish that off!!
And YES, I'm fairly sure, from having quilted with perle cotton for many years, that your two balls of thread will be enough. I did the whole Thimbleberries Sticks'n'stones with 2 balls of orange and part of one of brown. The brown was an accent line between the orange lines. I'm assuming you are using it single strand, which is still plenty to pull through.
You could try online at Herhnerr's in Wisconsin. Judy at Ragdolls has ordered lots from there, and may even have an 800 number. They do have a huge variety, and the price is pretty reasonable(if you get desperate!). I know they have a website, but not sure what it offers.
Thanks so much for the pictures of the little gifts *VBS* and so happy that you like them and they brought out the child in you *VBS* We can be friends and playmates!!! *VBS*
I think the idea of giving something to someone else to celebrate is partly that without the readers our bloggings would be a rather flat experience. Remember back when you only had a couple of readers? Kind of like that..*VBS* It's my way of saying 'thank you' and how much I appreciate that you read my blog and take time to comment. And it's better to give than receive, you know *VBS*
Your gift had to be especially for "you" since you are special to me *VBS* And Kipper too...sorry there wasn't something for him.

Anyway, I'm caught up I think, now I'm working on Pay It Forward in my spare time...making special for each of you *VBS* Keep stitching! Hugs, Finn
