Prairie Stars
Very nice class today. I made these four star blocks. There is an alternate block that goes between them. Most people made the star points out of the same material as the center square but I wanted mine more scrappy. More to follow as I get them done.

The hot off the press book is titled Twosey-Foursey Quilts by Cathy Wierzbicki. See martingale-pub.com It is based on only using 2 1/2 and 4 1/2 inch strips which are cut with her All In One ruler. I was pleased with the easy to use ruler and the resulting flying geese.

For some reason, I see the pic of the book and ruler did not come thu. I'll try again. The bottom pic is my latest block for my brown and green quilt. Posted by Picasa

I just love your leaf! The fabrics in your stars are beautiful, too. I'm making a bunch of stars with a different fabric in the middle for my medallion this weekend, too!

I love the stars. They are sparkeling. May be that's what I should do with my batiks. Making stars. Love the scrappy look of them, you did right using different fabrics.
